The Cowtown Cattle Drive Challenge

The Cowtown Cattle Drive will bring you 800 miles (or 1600 for the Out-and-Back) as we travel across the plains, from South Texas up into Kansas as we follow the historic Chisholm Trail.

Gather your posse and DRIVE through the Chisholm Trail in teams of up to 20. Divide and conquer as your team moves up the trail on their way to completion. Run, walk, bike, swim, or just exercise to complete the distance.

The event will start on January 1st and last through June 30th (180 Days). If you complete 4.5 miles per day you can finish the event solo.

The Cattle Drive (800 Miles)

This challenge will take you 800 Miles North along the historic Chisholm Trail from San Antonio, Texas to Abilene, Kansas.

Gather your posse and travel along the Chisholm Trail in teams of up to 20. Divide and conquer the trail as your team walks, runs, or bikes their way to completion.

The run will start on January 1st, 2021, and run through June 30th, 2021 (180 Days). Running solo you will need to complete 4.5 miles per day to complete the 800 miles.

The Out-and-Back (1600 Miles)

Just like the regular Cattle Drive, but now you’re coming back home! Once you hit Abilene it’s time to turn around. Race back to San Antonio to complete your round trip!

Gathering a team is highly recommended as you will need to run at least 8-9 miles a day to complete the 1600 Miles. But you can divide the route up to 20 times by having more people participate and work towards the goal.
