THE COWTOWN CHALLENGE FOR COMMITMENT

The Cowtown Challenge for Commitment is a scholarship program designed for Fort Worth ISD students entering their freshman year of high school. Selected students commit to participating in the program through their senior year.

Students must complete an application, which is reviewed by the scholarship benefactor board. Those selected are required to:

  • Complete 24 work hours each year.
  • Participate in a Cowtown Marathon 5K annually.
  • Work a minimum of a 4 hour shift Cowtown Marathon race weekend (always the last weekend of February).

Students who fulfill all program requirements throughout high school will receive a $4,000 scholarship, awarded at the end of their senior year and payable to the college or university of their choice.
